This morning I started things off right, with English Breakfast Tea and remembered this photo which is one of the best in my collection and straight from my family albums.
At lunch I took the liberty to cash in a U.S. savings bond from my childhood and I used it to start a savings account. I thought it was the proper thing to do with something I got when I was a child, start being an "adult." It made me think of everyone who has invested in me as a person, and times and places I don't want to take for granted. It was the first and probably last time I'll ever feel nostalgic in a bank.
